Time
Big struggle for me to work within the 5 week timeline for assignments. I keep telling myself that I will adjust to balancing life. The research report project has been very odd. I spent a lot of time searchng within the data bases in the library using various search terms to get very little for the k-12. It wasn't till I located online journals that I found more of what I wanted but wow the hours....a little anxious about balancing work, family and school with what I consider a significant amount of work to complete in 5 weeks.

I'm feeling the same way. i don't feel prepared to start school tomorrow but we have no choice. After the first Saturday of this class, I sat down with my handy dandy calendar and tried to map out when and what I was going to do. It gave me a sense of accomplishment to check things off or to finish something ahead of time. Also, it gave me a big picture so that I could rearrange if need be. I plan on doing that again. Maybe that's something you would like to try. Just make sure you get a big calendar and use pencil. Mine looks scary but it makes sense to me.
Hang in there girl! You can survive! With M.T.S.U. classes I had my moments where I really doubted if I would survive, my house sometimes piled up around me, and my kids said,"Mama, you are always doing homework." There, we usually had two classes going at a time. We would meet for one class this weekend and another class next weekend. It was confusing and there were many assignments at the same time. I really like only having one class at a time. These blogs also help to motivate me when I am down or frustrated. I hope we can continue to keep in touch this way when this class is over. Hang in there
Shelley! You are not alone. We have got your back!
Even Profs experience what you experience because most of us have other jobs that we do full-time. And so we have had to learn to work late in order to grade work, respond to posts, give guidance, etc. As your colleagues have stated, you are not alone. You will find that as you progress through the program, the coursework does not get easier (sorry), but the ability to work with your colleagues DOES get much easier. You will develop a bond that will last a lifetime. That is one of the biggest benefits of working on a cohort type of setting - because you all pull and push each other along. Hang in there! You will make it!
